dogooddownpantiesdowntestcue dotaxesnowandI researched in its in Arizona State's a
coachyes very tells us what this year I and
the rank in the top 10 in the countryI just briefly touch on on the guys in
youron your staff and your program sure well
we you know we have the talent to winthe lottery terms from last year's for
theyou know action with a high ankle you
know I think nine-hour top 12 positionplayers are back and with a little bit
different amount to replace startingpitching butthe guys in the program and that sorta
done that you know Rogers stuff theperson ronnie'swhich very well and very another a big
weekend for uswere two guys the last year's freshmen
column on duty andchampion of cinnamon drawn as starters
energy college transfers but athere was a nice team you know why I
think were fortrying to find our groove offensively
but I you know things coming upand just talk briefly about the
tradition here there's an estate youknow this is great players that came
through here and gone on to playit's a very unique experience with the
facilities and kinda football programI'm you just touch on a the floss be the
program in and just the culturethe program why I think at Arizona State
expected to you know be successful onone is a big deal here andyou know that is very traditional gone
Omahamean very very competitive nationally
not only in thenot can but you know post Super
Regionals and it's expected herethere's a safe trip ticket Omaha so a
you know a lot of great players over theyears you know I've been in the West
Coast baseball for almost 30 years nowknown as you knowthe place for me and took me a while to
get here but a you know a lottaoutstanding players come through you
know over 100 major league baseballplayers have gone through the program so
you know we're speaking to youkinda on the best down the coast in the
nation and Ias far as your recruiting process I and
he said across the nation are you guyspoint players from all over the country
are mean are you Marion on their zone ofthis is a lot of time here are you
Southern California as wellyeah I would say out west is our first
priority definitely in stay with gottayou know we want the players up that a
good enough to be here due toshoes they're gonna stay at me know when
the California roll Haveli andothers you know where the fires were
gonna go minimum tax systemyou know into the south to I'll you know
a lot of success in Upper Midwest kidsshowed up here fromthroughout the snow come into the desert
so you know it doesn't really matterwhere you're at I always feel like the
difference between Arizona State andin a lot of places that nationally we
get in the conversation people are goingto consider awesomeI if they want that baseball experience
that you know you can be competitive ona national level and alsoprepare the professional baseball toward
you know rate ofand your last question pressured about
for his injuryand everybody on county in southern
california is ayou know frame for men can you just give
us a brief at dunno how he's doing inand has come back always on last week 12
boards andand to stop by solely with worries that
then he must begin the next night init's amazing spirit you know handthe is determined to beat the thing you
know at this point you know it's justearly in the rehab when he's working on
ityou know is getting I think better every
day but he's still got a long way to goonyou know we are hoping and praying that
he will to get through this thing youtold mepersonally that he goes on over the next
week early year ten years but I'm gonnawalk again and Iget up with and you know you gotta shareawesome they fly fishing vest but for a

Former Arizona State and Notre Dame baseball coach Pat Murphy was honored at a recent ceremony at Notre Dame. Thanks to a contribution by his family, the newly renovated Irish baseball clubhouse will now be known at the "Coach Pat Murphy Lockerroom". Murphy was also presented an honorary monogram by the school.
Pat Murphy has plenty of accomplishments on the baseball field -- but nothing compares to his role as a single dad to young Kai Joseph.
