Arizona State Baseball 2013: Whiffle Ball World Series
It’s our first week back from winter break and our first week back on the grind on our way to Omaha! Since we have sun 365 days a year we can’t have full team practice for another week or so. On January 11, 2013 captain’s practice evolved into the first annual Arizona State University Baseball Whiffle Ball World Series! Enjoy!
Sun Devil softball outfielder Alix Johnson leads the game off with a solo homerun. Second baseman Sam Parlich adds two more homeruns in the second and third inning and catcher Amber Freeman ends the game with a two run homerun.
Arkansas center fielder Brett Eibner hits a game-tying home run with two outs and two strikes in the ninth inning of the Razorbacks' super regional game at Arizona State on June 13, 2010. Arizona State won 7-5 in 12 innings to advance to the College World Series.
My brother (in the Hog Hat) and sister-in-law solemnly witnessing their alma mater being denied a trip to the 2010 College World Series by the Arizona Sun Devils!
Former Arizona State and Notre Dame baseball coach Pat Murphy was honored at a recent ceremony at Notre Dame. Thanks to a contribution by his family, the newly renovated Irish baseball clubhouse will now be known at the "Coach Pat Murphy Lockerroom". Murphy was also presented an honorary monogram by the school.
