The Andrew Walter Era Begins

Playing at San Diego State in 2002, Walter replaces starting QB Chad Christensen and launches a 72-yard TD to Shaun McDonald on his first snap. Walter would throw another TD to McDonald on his second snap of the game, helping ASU overcome a 22-point margin against the Aztecs, the largest comeback in Sun Devil football history. Walter would go on to start every game for the rest of his career up until the Sun Bowl in 2004 and become the Pac-10 Conference’s leading career passer.
