you had put being too badthe in his fathernumber oneand for once and for thatmight have been a little bit tougher to jump over the circle and look at there'sno doubt there's no there's beenhe does rely so much of this process you know you realizewhat's important you realizeyou thoughtyou could get touched it's not because ofyou know where the top program in the country if not the top one or twoprograms in the country over the last ten yearsyou think you can't get touched you think you can justgo around to the in a land and uh...plan your futureand then you get shock like this and then first thing i thought about thisyou know there's so many other people go through a lot tougher stuff than i amright nowwhat a mess that aboutpick yourself up your kid needs youhe doesn't know the differencelet's roll he's got to see you be strongand those who have tried to doit's been hard some daystalking about it sometimes when people understand people know the truth theysee it for what it isof his careerunits is clears black-and-white you werea scapegoatand i thinkwhen the san diego padresfactional baseball teampicked you upthat in itself says he has a world of knowledgethat our players both in the lower levels and at the major league baseballlevelcommitted rightthere's a great gesture not by a lot to them because itit keeps my mind activegives me a sense ofi've place you know thatand it's opened my mind a of i've learned so much from them but i'm justthankfuli don't know that i can anything but i certainly havei've learned a lot and i think uh... met some wonderful people great organizationgreat people it's changingand uh... i was just thankful a couple couple different innovations reached outand felt so goodyou know sothat's the part behind the scenes thatthe keeps me going himand like you said in the more people know the truthfeels a little better i don't think oliverwind that i don't think anybody's ever going to reallyhow two percent you know the truthbut the bottom line some of its coming out and and that feels better and i'mreally proud of what we achieve nobody can take that away from us and i'm proudof the team is still doing wellthey will do well for a while because we've got great recruiting classes inplace inthe program was real it's it wasn't fly by night it was at one year we never hada bad yearand the last five yr unmatched by anybody else in the countrypatent one of the greatest there is a nation historyalthough there's a lot more sports mill allennot as much focus on the issue baseballtruly one of the greatest errors and it's going to continue because they'vegot great young man thatand don't matterwhat happens to what adversity comes it matters that they are going to have todo and i know thati know the responsibility of being abmp artist program and that's what feels good is ityou know i was part of building some pixel specialcan use explain to me in black and white what lack ofinstitutional control means i've heard the so many times over the last fiveyears i think the best way to describe it is a mthe ncaa late require schoolsto it here to all these rules and regulations if you look at theincidentally manual it's a very thickfickleand unbelievable amount of rulesthat equate to making sure there's fairnesson in the competitionthere's outcompliance area that you have tokind of document all of your stuff to make sure that your compliantin when you areone of your programs maybedoesn't have it up to snuff or there's a bunch of different areas thatthat need improvementthe incidentally willbut have that allegation against youuh... called lack of institutional controlit sounds a lot more serious sometimes i mean it's very seriousbut i think it's sounds a lot more serious sometimes like everybody'srunning roughshod nobody knows what's going onbut they're very strict about universities keeping tabs on this kindof stuffand doneissue had one five interfacing one hereyou know i hope that doesn't happen becauseyou know which than anybody butthat's not for me dot took to decide or anything else but it is its ultimatedoneit's like my shifts key from dukehe talked about date you can't possiblyfollow every single rule you know when your heart in you knowit what's right and what's wrong but the rules are so complicated sometimes forthe becomes a very very difficultto normal or to be told himor how the rest of itwith that saidhow seriously should take a d_n_c_ rulebookbowing to pressuresbut after twenty seven years in changes back and forth butthere's no doubt you take a very short i know more nowabout the ncaathan anyone could ever to be an athletic director known when i knowfrom a complaint standpointis it something you sit down and look at the book throughout the season is itsomething as you see it changes you look at itthe off season and then after all you've taken these kids to great heightsacademically as well as on the baseball fieldshirley just don't throw one after the side go well it doesn't really matterexactly you you you you keep up with it and it's uh...it's something that you reeducate the educators educatedbut to say that you know every little in uptown you could find comes out therethat knows every single but you know the spirit of the ruleyou know when some things in placeand you know what you can useand you know inducements are you know an unfair advantagessoul on the rest is up for interpretation butthe rules of something we take very very seriousyou look back at the fifteen years and the issue with the record dennis unheardofare there some moments of just released again you know wow how blessed i was tobe part of thatno questioni think black people five my my mostmemorable moment was all fiveand readjust clenchedby our trip to the
