New Hoover Dam Bridge - Initially, I thought they were building a suspension bridge with the very high towers on both side installed and managing and installing all those expensive high quality cables, but no. The 8th Annual Pat's Run took place in Tempe, AZ on April 21, 2012 with more than 28,000 walkers and runners participating to honor the legacy of Pat Tillman. Proceeds from Pat's Run benefit the Tillman Military Scholars program. More than 30 current Tillman Military Scholars attended Pat's Run this year and helped produce this video to say thank you to participants, sponsors and volunteers.

In September of 2006, construction was temporarily halted after the collapse of the cableway system. The cableway system is a critical part of the bridge construction project as it facilitates the delivery of construction materials across the entire canyon, a span of almost 2500 feet.
In March of 2007, F&M MAFCO was awarded the contract to supply two new 50 ton capacity High Line cableways.
The new cableway system consisted of four towers that were 335 feet tall, two head towers on the Nevada side, and two tail towers on the Arizona side. A total of 14 hoists, 8 winches and over 100,00 feet of wire rope and pendants were used for the erection of the High Line Cableway system.
The Colorado River Bridge is an engineering and construction marvel and is the first concrete-steel composite arch bridge built in the United States.The new four lane highway and signature bridge spans the Black Canyon, connecting the Arizona and Nevada Approach highways nearly 900-feet above the Colorado River and 1,500 feet south of the Hoover Dam.
