DieHardDevil.com, September 21, 1996. That night, ASU named the field after legendary coach, FRANK KUSH whose record in Tempe was 176--54--1. Hi statue was unveiled in front of the gates to SDS. 200 former players under Kush from 1955-1979 attended... and an historic game unfolded. Another Sun Devil Undefeated Season ended season with a chance to finish #1 in the Country until Jan. 1, 1997 Rose Bowl when the devils lost 20-17 to a last minute score by OHIO STATE.
At a time to reflect on all the things we are thankful for, we could not be more thankful for YOU. Our fans. Thank you Sun Devil Nation for all your support!
