Rashad Wadood

Article by Don Hansen

The news was first reported by ASUDevils.com publisher Chris Karpman over Twitter that Rashad Wadood is leaving the Arizona State football program. Heading into 2014, Wadood was penciled in as a starter at the field corner position.

What do we know about the cornerback spot for 2014? Redshirt junior Lloyd Carrington will start at the field corner position.

Then, who knows? Could redshirt junior Solomon Means, who was Carrington’s back-up in spring ball, move over and try to start at the field corner spot? Will junior college transfer Kweishi Brown come in ready to play in the fall and grab the starting spot? Could walk-on Ronnie Sellers, who had a great spring, crack the two deep?

All we really know is that the thinnest position on defense just got thinner. Overall though, nothing has changed. This team must replace nine starters from the Pac-12 Championship Game, and it only has a couple of games to tune up for critical match-ups against Colorado, UCLA, and USC.

Best to Rashad. ForksUp
