TEMPE, Ariz. – Sun Devil Football will host its annual Maroon & Gold Practice on Thursday, February 28 at 7 p.m. at Sun Devil Stadium.
Gates will open to the public at 6 p.m. Both the event and parking in surface lots will be free of charge (patrons will be charged if they park in the parking structures).
Fans in attendance can enjoy in-practice giveaways, photo opportunities with select trophies, and pregame autographs with the Sun Devil football team.
Fans will also have an opportunity to select their seats for ASU’s 2019 seven-game home schedule. Sun Devil Ticket Sales and Service Representatives will be available on the lower level east concourse to assist fans who are interested in purchasing season tickets. Season ticket locations and tours of the new San Tan Ford Club are available by filling out an RSVP form.
Led by Lia Edwards, wife of ASU football coach Herm Edwards, family members of the Sun Devil football coaches are also teaming with the St. Mary’s Food Bank to hold a canned food collection before Thursday’s practice. Fans are encouraged to bring three canned food items – peanut butter, fruit and vegetables are most needed – to donate. Volunteers will be stationed at the north and south entrances to Sun Devil Stadium.
In Herm Edwards‘ first season as head coach, the Sun Devils won seven games, finished runner-up in the Pac-12 South and kept the Territorial Cup in Tempe following their come-from-behind win over Arizona. Home wins over Top-20 teams Michigan State and Utah at newly reinvented Sun Devil Stadium were part of an impressive 5-1 home record.
