Dear Will,
Thank you for bypassing the NFL draft and returning for your senior season at Arizona State.
We missed you against Oregon and UCLA last year after you hurt your knee. We also remember the immediate impact you had when you returned for the Oregon State game.
We watched you battle like a warrior last year against Arizona, getting hurt multiple times but still returning to the game to finish off our bitter rival.
We remember when you came to ASU to play with your Centennial High School teammates Brandon Magee, Shelly Lyons and Vontaze Burfict. You’re the only one left from that crew and it’s time to make them proud. And I promise you, they are watching.
Now you’re back, in prime time on ESPN in front of a live national audience on Saturday night.
Games like this are the reason why you returned to ASU. It’s time to show why you’re an All-American and show the country what #90 is all about.
Everyone is talking about how big the Wisconsin offensive line is and the strength of their power running game. What are you going to do about it?
We know you can’t do it alone and will need help from others on the defensive front like Bradford, Hood, Onyeali, Coleman and Young. We understand how you make everyone around you better by sometimes taking on the double team.
We have seen you at practice, soft spoken with a quiet confidence and something on your mind. We have seen you dancing on the field in pregame warm-ups. And we have seen you leading the charge out of Tillman Tunnel ready to unleash the beast inside.
This is your time Will, so shine like a Sun Devil.
The dinner bell rings at 7:30 PM on Saturday night. Time to eat.
Warmest Regards,
Sun Devil Nation
