After a long recruiting process and careful consideration, DJ Foster made the ultimate decision to become a Sun Devil and wear the maroon and gold.   When we asked DJ about his decision, he confidently answered “I’m 100% happy with my decision to become a Sun Devil. This is HOME to me and I made the best decision of my life staying here and I’m going to try and make everyone proud.”  Here are 8 reasons why Foster will make sparks fly as a Sun Devil:

HUMAN HIGHLIGHT FILM.  Pay attention when DJ touches the football.  There is a high percentage that something exciting is about to happen.  Foster is a multi-talented threat that can run the ball, catch passes out of the backfield and create instant excitement on punt and kick returns.

FULL THROTTLE.  Every time DJ has the football in his hands, he plays with a reckless abandon by going 100% full speed without hesitation, and with no concern about hard collisions.  When Foster carries the ball and picks up a head of steam, he isn’t afraid to lower his helmet and shoulder and initiate contact.  His quickness allows him to make contact first and throw the defenders off guard.

RUNNING ATTACK.  Foster has a very unique running style.  He has tremendous speed to out run opponents, can make quick and hard cuts to free himself in open space and loves to attack the defender and make contact at the end of plays.

SIX POINTS.  DJ likes to score touchdowns…a lot of them.  During his senior year in high school, he scored a state record 60 TD’s including 10 in one game.  Look for Foster to continue to get into the end zone frequently as a Sun Devil.

DISTRACTION.  Foster will create headaches for opposing defensive coordinators and they will have to know where he is at all times on the field.  This distraction will open things up for other players in the Sun Devil offense.

IN STATE RECRUITING.  This one is BIG.  By making the decision to attend ASU, DJ led by example and showed all the future in state talent that the right choice is to stay home at play for the Sun Devils in Tempe.

NATIONAL MEDIA ATTENTION.  During the recruiting process, DJ gained plenty of interest and attention across the country.  There is already a buzz in the national media about Foster and he will be one of the favorites to win Pac-12 offensive freshman of the year.  The sky is the limit.

HOMETOWN HERO.  DJ chose his hometown school over USC, Cal and many other top programs to leave his blood, sweat and tears on the field for Arizona State.  Foster will be a fan favorite for years to come.
